I will use the above images, taken from the manual, to determine the look of the UI. This influence will range from colours to the fonts used and spacing between elements.

I also used the colours from the manual, as well as those in the ESA branding guide (left), to create the colour palette for the NASA spaceship option. You can find the palette below.
